08-29-04 Central Minnesota TOR warned cell

This cell was tornado warned before I left radar and headed North from St. Cloud. For some reason I wasn't paying attention to the weather 2 hours earlier when 4 tornado touchdowns were reported about 40 miles NW of my house!

Under the base after dark. Lightning failed to backlight the base very often but the full moon created some visibility. At times a nice tight wall cloud was present. This photo does not show the organized state. There was surprisingly relatively warm inflow. In fact, it was the warmest air I felt all day (it was fairly chilly in St. Cloud)!

The full moon was beautiful...partially made up for missing a tornado earlier....maybe... not really
